Fantastic garden, really well looked after. There were a few groups of small children running around while I was there, but it's big enough I could mostly avoid them. Good cafe with a nice selection of cakes and sandwiches. Really loved the Chinese garden and quirky passages between some areas.
Went here for some fresh air and stretch on a January Sunday afternoon. The gardens are very well kept with nice woody area. Great for kids. 12 per adult. Scone and tea was very delicious. The cafe stops hot food after 2pm. Parking is free.
Lovely National Trust Property with beautiful but quirky gardens. Always have plenty of activities on for children. My children have always loved going here at Christmas for the treasure trail around the gardens searching for the clues to find Santa. Need to book early for the events!
We have been may times over the years and it never disappoints. This time we arrived just as a tour was starting and so we joined. The lady who inducted it was very knowledgeable and interesting so we see glad we did it. Can't say the tea room is that great though as cakes and scones always seem to be from yesterday.
This is a National Trust property and is solely for the restoration of the garden as the house is not owned by the National Trust. The garden will surprise you and in some respect I would not want to spoil the surprise with a description. It is an excellent display of different plants and different ways of displaying them. It is a wonderful place to take place everyone of all ages especially young children. However most of the garden is not accessible for wheelchairs.
