OATCAKES WERE OK. SERVICE WAS STANDARD. DIDN'T FEEL THAT WELCOME THERE. I ASKED FOR A HOT DOG OR A BURGER AND THEY SAID NO THEY DON'T DO THEM. COUSIN STARTED TO CRY... SO THANKS POVEY'S FOR AN AMAZING DAY OUT WITH MY COUSINS LOTS OF LOVE DB X

By far the best local real oatcakes - easily roll without splitting
As an Aussie transplant to the local area I was fascinated the first time I visited Poveys and watched them making the oatcakes. They are delicious, of course, especially with your choice of toppings - melted cheese and sausage being my favourite! Highly recommended!
A nice looking shop but only good for picking up cold Oatcakes. The cooked Oatcakes have seriously bad extra ingredients. The beans and sausages and other fillings used here are terrible. if you're looking for a tasty filled Oatcake I would travel to congleton or High Lane. I actually do go out of town for my cooked Oatcakes as the food here is that bad. Plus the hygiene isn't great
